Shopping

There are several new small shopping centres opening in 2005 with Coomera Town Centre expected approximatly 2010. We are also expecting a Tafe, University and aquatic centre in the area. We are expecting Bi-Lo (Cnr Tamborine oxenford Rd and Reserve Road) in early 2005 and Coles around September 2005 on the corner of Reserve Road and Hargraves Road. We also have another shopping centre and Tavern opening early 2005 next to Upper Coomera State College also on Reserve Road.

Sports & Fitness

Other than the numerous parks that are in the area, there is also Gullivers Swimming Pool, Zorbing, as well as boating in the Coomera river.

Transportation

Upper Coomera is located in the growth corridor between the Gold Coast and Brisbane, only 30km from Surfers Paradise and 59km from Brisbane city.

History

Known as the boom area, Upper Coomera is tipped to be the largest Capital City outside of Brisbane with expected growth in the next 25 years.

With over 5000 new homes expected over the next 2 years this is a great area to invest for your future. The Council has implemented a water reticulation system required by new development to implement good struture for the future. This adds a cost of appreoximately $2500 to each new build and benefits the new home owner with massive savings over the years to come. This service will be available for use in about 2006 but must be included in new buildings from now.

Restaurants & Cafes

There are a few really great eateries including The Lost City and The Boathouse, not to mention the french restauraunt over in coomera village. The Coomera Pub is a must for the family on the weekend with it\'s beautiful outlook over one of the many creeks that runs into the Coomera River.

Schools, Education & Institutions

The Coomera Upper Coomera area currently has 5 schools, 3 being private and two public. Upper Coomera State College having a direct link to Griffith University.
